二、背景信息

Waiting outside the lines是1997年出生的Greyson Chance在2011年发行的首支正式单曲。Waiting outside the lines是一首关于应该积极地面对生活并尝试做出改变的歌曲。歌词充满了力量，让人会联想到自己的生活和能够让人们感到愉悦和保持积极的态度。歌曲告诉我们，我们不应该只沉浸在自己的世界当中，我们应该尝试看看广阔的世界和勇于去尝试新的事物。我们应该珍惜现在的时间，面对困难的时候不要害怕，勇敢地去做出改变。

三、教学建议

该歌曲可以放在lead in部分，给学生先呈现这个语法点。

1.      首先先播放第一次的歌曲视频，学生看了一遍视频之后，邀请学生来分享自己对这首歌曲的感受，可以从不同的方面分析，像歌词，旋律，声音等等，如果有学生有因此联想到自己的生活，也可以让他们进行分享。

2.      （因为这首歌曲中含有两个比较相似的语法点，第一个就是在该歌曲中需要学生学习的非谓语动词的动词ing形式。第二个就是学生已经学过的比较常见的be动词加动词ing的形式。）接着播放第二次视频，在播放视频之前让学生找出视频当中带有ing形式的句子并做好记录。

3.      邀请学生将自己所记录的句子写在黑板上进行呈现。然后让学生进行小组讨论，讨论这些句子有什么不同的地方。

4.      学生在小组讨论中分享完自己的分析后，邀请一些学生在全班同学面前说一说自己的想法。接着老师便进入更多的语法呈现和讲解环节。
